16th District Town Hall, Prosser, WA, APR 2

There will be a 16th Legislative District town meeting on Tuesday, April 2nd with Rep. Skyler Rude, Rep. Mark Klicker and Sen. Perry Dozier. It will be held in the Prosser Community Center at 1231 Dudley Ave at 5:30 p.m. The main purpose is to discuss six initiatives introduced in the 2024 legislative session.

During these gatherings, we aim to provide you with comprehensive updates on the outcomes of these initiatives, shedding light on what transpired and what remains on the horizon. Additionally, we will delve into the broader legislative landscape, including insights into the supplemental budgets passed and the impact of these investments on families and communities across the district. Moreover, we’ll touch upon both the positive strides and setbacks encountered during the session.

I hope you are doing well. The 2022 legislative session was a 60-day sprint, but a lot happened before we concluded on March 10. If you would like a recap on everything that occurred, including the good and bad legislation that was passed, this is the perfect opportunity.

I will be joining my seatmates, Rep. Skyler Rude and Sen. Perry Dozier, for a virtual town hall meeting starting at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 22.

This one-hour event held over Zoom will be a great opportunity to learn more about new legislation and how it will affect you going forward. It’s also the perfect time for you to share your ideas and concerns and ask us any questions you have.

We represent you in the legislative process and love hearing from our constituents. Your input is extremely valuable as we work to improve the lives of all those in Washington.

Rep. Newhouse speaks to stakeholders and the public about legislation he introduced in the 115th Congress to preserve the Snake River dams.

I am hosting a public listening session to discuss the dams on the Columbia and Snake Rivers, their effects on Central Washington and the Pacific Northwest, and recent legislative actions affecting the river system. I will be joined by a panel of experts, and you are invited to share your thoughts and ask questions about the dams, hydropower, salmon mitigation, and other related topics.
