Scott Brumback of the Washington Strikes Back movement will be speaking at the next LVA General Meeting on March 14th at Caffe Villa, 602 7th St, Prosser, WA at 6:30 PM. Washington Strikes Back seeks to hold AG Ferguson accountable for violation of his oath to uphold the US and Washington Constitutions and for overstepping the authority of his office.

Yakima filing update.
First, I talked with the district court clerk today. She is very nice, cordial, cooperative and is working to help this be a fair, open hearing. I detect no bias or consternation at all. Very professional. She’s helping to make sure we have a projector and screen to put up exhibits.
Second, we have a cause number that this action is filed under in the clerk’s office. It is: “Citizen 01”. We are the first. If you wish to submit an Affidavit, you may… do so. You can file the completed affidavit at the Yakima County District Court Clerk’s office this week. After that, I would recommend that you bring the affidavit to the court with you.
Third, we have a judge assigned from Benton County. His name is Judge Terry Tanner. He did his undergrad study at the University of Washington and law school at Pepperdine University. He is a prior city attorney for Richland, Pasco, West Richland and Connell. He appears to have a good background to hear this matter. I have no concerns at this point.
Fourth, the hearing is TENTATIVELY set for Friday, March 15, at 11:00 a.m. at the Yakima County District Court in Grandview, WA The district court clerk is still finalizing this. It may change, but I doubt it. I will post any update about that if it occurs.
Again, citizen attendance is welcome. Those who filled out Affidavits for Yakima are encouraged to attend. I hope that we all conduct ourselves accordingly. It is important for the judge to see concerned, responsible citizens standing up for their rights.

The next regular assembly of the whole will be held on Thursday, Mar. 14th, 2019 at 6:30 pm at Caffe Villa in Prosser. M. Scott Brumback of Washington Strikes Back will be our speaker.

The next General Assembly of the Whole will be held on Thursday, Dec. 13th, 2018 at Caffe Villa, beginning at 6:30 PM. We will be electing executive officers and holding our Christmas potluck dinner.
People with last names beginning with the letters A through M should bring main dishes.
Last names beginning with letters N through Z should be sides and/or desserts.
Everyone should bring their own beverages, plates, utensils, cups, etc. There will be tables and chairs on site.
The November regular assembly meeting will be held at Caffe Villa, 602 7th St., Prosser, starting at 6:30pm. We will be taking nominations for the executive board election next month, and Jim Mackey will be giving a presentation on emergency well pumps.
UPDATE: Sheriff Hatcher will attend the meeting to answer questions about the recent passage of Initiatives 1639 and 940.

The next regular assembly of the whole will be on Thursday, Sept. 13 at the WestWind Aviation Services hangar at the Prosser airport at 6:30pm. Bring your handheld radios with you for the radio exercise. There will also be a potluck dinner. An email will go out with potluck assignments/suggestions, so please be on the watch for it. Your radio is your ticket to eat. Don’t forget it!

The next regular Assembly of the Whole will be held on Thursday, July 12th, at 6:30 pm in the Patriot Barn, 22202 N Hinzerling. During his talk, Dennis Walters will be demonstrating how to protect small electronics. If you would like to follow along, please bring a small, metal container like a cookie tin or ammo box and a small, electronic device such as a cell phone or hand-held radio that fits in your metal container. We’ll have some of the additional materials needed on hand at the meeting for your use. Once you have mastered the technique on a small device, you can expand to protect more/larger items.
Please join us at the Patriot barn on June 14th, at 6:30 pm for an LVA barbecue. We will have a short business portion followed by food and fellowship. We ask that everyone bring a side dish and lawn chairs. BBQ chicken will be provided as well as dessert. Also please save the date of Tuesday, June 26th for the Center for Self-Governance screening of the Finicum documentary Dead Man Talking, with Lavoy’s widow Jeanette Finicum. We want to be an encouragement to both of them and their efforts.

Glen Morgan will be speaking at the April 12th, 2018 Lower Valley Assembly of the Whole in Prosser, WA.
Glen is currently the Executive Director of the Citizens Alliance for Property Rights. Glen Morgan was the Grassroots Director and the Property Rights Director at the Freedom Foundation from 2011 until January 2015. He enjoys creating videos documenting Big Government’s abuses of citizens – particularly on property rights issues.
He is a frequent writer and speaker on property rights, the environmental movement, Big Government, and the importance of citizen activism. In 2014, Bill Whittle called Glen, “The ascended high master of political messaging.” Glen doesn’t consider himself a high master of anything, but he enjoys exploring policy issues in local government and exposing government corruption and incompetence which impacts all of us.
In 2015, Glen was honored with the annual Rodney & Laurel McFarland Award presented by the Citizens Alliance for Property Rights (CAPR) “for exemplary performance in preserving and protecting property rights for the year 2014.”
Glen’s articles have been reproduced in publications ranging from the Heritage Insider to local blog sites. He has also appeared on King5 News, KOMO News, Fox News (Q13), KUOW (NPR), The David Boze show, Todd Herman (Seattle -AM 770)and a variety of other television and radio programs. He frequently testifies on property rights issues at local government hearings and at the Washington State Legislature. Glen is also known for writing opposition statements in the official voter’s guide for voter-approved tax increases. Recently, Glen has also been involved in attempting to address campaign finance reforms to make the process easier and simpler for beginners to be involved in the process.
Glen is also an investigative citizen journalist who frequently meets with anonymous whistleblowers from various state agencies, local governments, and political parties who want to expose wrongdoing where they work.
As a former elected School Director in the Rochester School District from 2011 to 2015, Glen has also been involved in his local community. He is also a current board member of the Thurston County Farm Bureau, and has served on the State Policy Board for the Washington State Farm Bureau. Glen was a candidate for the Thurston County Assessor’s office in 2010, when he received 48% of the vote. Glen was the Project Manager for Stop Taking Our Property (S.T.O.P.) Thurston County, a Freedom Foundation project, and he is always engaged in various policy and advocacy issues throughout Washington State.
As a fifth generation Washingtonian, Glen’s roots run deep in Washington State. His great-great grandmother helped start the Pike Place Market, where multiple generations sold flowers in Seattle for many years. His great-Uncle Ed Dalby installed the first power-generating waterwheel in Union, WA in the early 1920s. Glen’s father helped found the City of Newcastle, and his father served as a City Councilman in that city for years. After graduating from college with a BA in political science from Columbia College in New York City, Glen returned home and worked for small start-up companies and local manufacturing businesses. He currently lives on a small tree farm in Thurston County with his wife and their four children.
