Horse Owner Workshop (Grandview) May 12, 2022 6:30pm – 8:00pm
SPEAKER: Lane Howe, Purina Nutrition SPECIAL GUEST: Bill Lawrence, Horse Trainer. Goat Owner Workshop (Zillah) May 19, 2022 6:30pm – 8:30 pm
Jena Ozenna, CHS Nutrition Consultant will discuss goat feed and tub options. Nicole Cookson, Bleyhl, will discuss dairy goats and demonstrate milking. Kennedee Lecuyer, 4-H Leader and Champion Showman, will demonstrate showing techniques and tips. We will also cover hoof trimming and vaccinations. No charge to attend, RSVP to save your seat. Have you been thinking of taking up beekeeping as a hobby and don’t know where to start? Do you want honey for baking or bees wax for making candles? The Mid-Columbia Beekeepers Association will be giving us helpful information and here to answer your questions about beekeeping.This class will show you some of the basics of honey bees and beekeeping as well as de-mystify this incredibly gentle and fascinating creature. Beekeeping is not as “labor intensive” as you may think, but it does require some work and study.This class will give you the information needed to decide if it is right for you.
